Illustration & Animation

A set of illustrated buttons designed to raise awareness for animal welfare. Each button is affixed to a card featuring a Linktree URL that directs to a curated list of nonprofit organizations I passionately support. I walk through nearby neighborhoods, distributing these buttons for free, aiming to garner support for these organizations.

Cat Town Oakland

I am deeply passionate about animal welfare and supporting animal shelters. For the past few years, I have volunteered my professional skills in graphic design and illustration to assist Cat Town Oakland, a cat shelter on a mission to transform the approach to saving shelter cats and to reduce euthanasia rates nationwide. Recently, they approached me with a request to create a captivating set of illustrations for their storefront windows. The intention behind this endeavor is to provide passersby with a glimpse into the essence of Cat Town. Given that Cat Town is an organization that thrives on the support of a diverse community, I conceived an idea to reflect this inclusivity by depicting individuals of varying skin tones, ages, and ethnicities engaging with cats of different breeds. Through these illustrations, we aim to convey the notion that compassion and love for animals transcend societal boundaries. In order to maintain visual coherence and align with Cat Town's distinctive branding, I incorporated the organization's color palette, complemented by a range of neutral skin tones. The end result merges the essence of Cat Town's mission with artistic representation. Below, you will find a selection of 17 illustrations from the complete set, each offering a unique glimpse into the heartwarming interactions between humans and feline companions.
