Experiment on artifacts

This experimental project investigates how creative technology might deepen our connection with overlooked natural phenomena. Working with AI as a generative tool, I'm translating environmental data and field recordings into multi-sensory experiences that reveal the hidden vitality of moss, bark, water, and air.

The project structure mirrors natural discovery—three layers that progressively reveal themselves. A physical print contains a hidden gateway to a digital experience, where AI-generated visualizations move in sync with nature sounds. Through interaction, viewers uncover messages about beauty in the spaces we typically ignore.

The first piece focuses on moss: organic, flowing forms generated through creative coding that respond to actual moss bioelectricity recordings. Using hand tracking, you can explore the visualization and reveal information about these ancient, resilient organisms. The movement is hypnotic, somewhere between breathing and flowing water.

This is an ongoing experiment. I'm interested in that space where technology doesn't replace nature but helps us see it differently. Full documentation coming as the project evolves.

An experimental interface for real-time generative art. Originally built to test different ways of visualizing natural patterns—how particles might mimic mycelial networks or water finding its path. Adjust the parameters yourself and watch organic systems emerge from mathematical rules. Make sure to enable sound!
